HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle: Made Me Laugh

gifts for him - gifts for her - fitness
Believe it or not, I'm quite an active person. I regularly go running, play football, plus we even have a home gym in our flat (well, a bench press). So when I heard about the HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle I was immediately interested.
But after looking into the detail, I soon became cynical. Seriously, a £20.00 water bottle?
Why so expensive? I thought. Because it features a built in computer which keeps track of how much you've drank, and (get this) reminds you when to drink!
Wow - what an essential piece of equipment for any fitness fanatic. Because if nobody reminded me when to drink I wouldn't know what to do. I would be drinking too much and vomiting, I wouldn't be drinking enough and passing out, I would get ill and soon I'd die.
Or maybe not. Humans have this clever thing called a sense of thirst. When the brain activates this feeling, it's because it wants some of the good stuff. We also have a thing called feeling bloated. This is because we've drank too much and are about to puke.
Why oh why would we need such a stupid device is beyond me.
Why not have a plate which tells you when to eat? Genius. Pfff.
I've managed to stay fit, and not pass out from thirst so far, whilst exercising. I'll take my chances and stick to my £3 water bottle. I don't want to be told what to do by some Nazi HydraCoach water bottle thank you very much!
